Construct validity does not concern the simple, factual question of whether a test measures an attribute. Face validity is one of the most basic measures of validity. Essentially, researchers are simply taking the validity of the test at face value by looking at whether a test appears to measure the target variable. Internal and external validity are concepts that reflect whether or not the results of a study are trustworthy and meaningful.
